Acts 11:29 Project

Hey Reveal...

Just wanted to give you an update on what happened on our first Project 11:29 outing this past weekend. On Friday, 4 of us went to Tommy's place and looked over the work that needed to be done. We also pressure washed the trailer and did some minor yard work like raking leaves.

On Saturday, several of us got there at 7:30 and began to remove some of the old siding that had rotted. This turned out to be a bigger job than we had at first anticipated. About 8:45 reinforcements arrived and they began to paint. We got about 3/4 of the trailer painted when it started to rain. Needless to say, water based paint and rain mix way too well.

We did manage to get three pieces of siding replaced and the window (that we removed) put back in place.

So here's the deal...on May 29th and/or 30th - We need several people to help us finish removing and replacing the bad siding. We will also be applying some caulk and primer to the new siding. We probably need about 3 people who have some demolition/carpentry experience (Will, Edward, Dale, Dale's Dad?) and about 3 people who would be willing to help (no experience necessary). If you are willing, leave a comment and let us know.

Then on our regularly scheduled meeting of June 20th, we will go back and re-paint and/or finish painting.

I am really looking forward to doing this project. It was a lot of fun to get to know some people better. And even though it rained and we got soaked, we did get a good bit accomplished and started building a relationship with Tommy. If you are looking for a way to get involved here at FBC, Project 11:29 is for you. Looking forward to the 30th.

Dream Big...Pray Bigger!

Will
